Make me graceful, my lady.

I realised I've left a lot of stuff in school so I'm unable make any progress so I should write about graces so that I won't let all this precious memories slip through my fingers like sand and fall into the flowing river of the forgotten.

Photobucket

Day 1: It's getting hot in here

  • Bus ride to the camp site was spent talking about nothing in particular with Yuxuan. Yay, I love YX, she's so cute and nice to talk to
  • 'Yours Graciously' is a workshop to teach us about... I'm not really sure because the lesson was so forgettable and dull. Hmm, the word is useless. What a bummer
  • 'Make-me-over' is another workshop, teaching us how to put on makeup. In actual fact I didn't get any makeover and the woman refused to help me transform my uneven eyes or to unclump my eyelashes. Which means--useless

Photobucket

  • Check in to our rooms and we were thrilled to find out we are all in one together. Yuxuan, Yingxuan, Chingying, Xiaoyou, Sarah, Jingfang, Siman and me. All the crazy people, of course I was the only sane one
  • Malay Extravaganza-one big happy Chindian family. Sarah, Xiaoyou and I, the Indians and the rest decked out in feminine cheongsams

Photobucket

Photobucket

  • The food sucked so I didn't eat, which was rather fortunate because I heard many upset their stomachs from the horrible food. That was the first time I've ever tasted rice so bland and tasteless
  • Picture taking. F-L-A-S-H-I-N-G LIGHTS. Many people looked really sexy. And OMG, Mark Shones is so hot! Freak!
  • Malay Dance was adorable but I was too tired to appreciate or have fun
  • Bathed the Desperate Housewives way, watched Shutter (we are insane) and slept

Day 2: Party like a rockstar

  • Woke up the earliest in my room but I know Yuxuan beat me to that
  • We wasted precious time which was supposed to be used for rehearsals, but we practised a little in the end
  • Interclass games were tensions rose and the mood did not encourage class bonding at all. Why? It's just a game. It would be much more fun if everyone was gayer. (As in happier)
  • 'Effective Communication' workshop was suprisingly enjoyable. Good thing I didn't try to skip it. I love funny Indian men
  • Preparation for formal dinner. Had a Desperate Housewives moment again but got everything in place, on the dot. Everyone looked gorgeous and pretty
  • Class Parade was nerve wrecking, so much that I did not have the appetite to eat the chicken cutlet thing we had but went well, felt like a star with all the cameras flashing. Shaked my thang all the way down the red carpet with JingFang, without tripping or stumbling. Like Hiro will say, "YATAAAA"
  • Lots of picture taking again, food was left forgotten and cold, how sad.

Photobucket

  • Played games, ah so embarrassing but was fun
  • Stoned @ Macs for a while with Kelly and got scolded by this teacher
  • Went back in and stoned more
  • And then we partied when the lights are dimmed and music, mainstream dance music starts blaring out of the speakers, surrounding us as we moved to the beat. HEAVEN

Photobucket

  • Party ended but our feelings weren't dampened by the pouring rain until reality hits us, we have to get drenched in other to reach our rooms
  • Mdm Leon (heroine) whipped out $100 from her designer handbag to let us buy umbrellas
  • So we were happy and we slept early

Day 3: Graceful yet?

Photobucket

Photobucket

  • Fiesta was disappointing and everyone was tired
  • Nothing much to say except belly dance and our class rocks

WOOOHOOOOO,
SQ

Those Shanghai lights

BFFs hopefully.

I really miss those times we spent together. Three weeks of ups and some downs, and we survived them, together. Love yall and hopefully we will be all together again this year.

Retail therapy (sort of) with Siman again today. Bought makeup and some cute stuff. Orchard road is really fasinating. It is the only place where you see the fashionistas milling around among the fashion idiots and the colour blind. Went Zara as usual and my practice and efforts paid off, Zara's stilettoes did not pose as a challenge for me. Zara has really pretty stuff and I can't wait to have money and the boobs so I can go get those beautiful pieces off the racks.

And regarding my rant in my previous post, you shouldn't have commented. It may not even be about you at all. Your attempt to make yourself seem like the victim, pushing the blame on to me, was rather lame. I don't feel bad at all.

Whatever,
SQ

It was beauty killed the beast

Photobucket
Do you know one of those days when you feel more worthless than a piece of trash or you feel like you are the fattest and the ugliest girl to ever walk this earth? Yes. Always happens on a Friday night. I hate this, gah.

And to a certain someone, I'm sure you know who you are. I think you are aware of the change in attitudes of people towards you. Well, I tried to give you a chance yesterday but you didn't treasure it. Today, you pissed me off big time. What you did today may seem particularly minor, maybe insignificant but there's so much frustration and tension built up in me.

So, it seems like I'm overreacting. Frankly speaking, I am really pissed off with your lack of initiative and effort. Sometimes, you don't even bother to think with your brains and expect everyone on to treat you like a big baby, telling you exactly what to do or doing all the mundane stuff for you. I AM ANNOYED AND PISSED WITH YOU WHICH IS WHY I HAVE BEEN AVOIDING YOU.

On a lighter, happier note, we are done with the choreography of the belly dance today. It's awesome, amazing, sexy, and everything nice. Stayed back to work on it. Love it! Belly dancers FTWzzzzz. We are going to kick asses.

I can't be bothered with homework. Sylar DID NOT DIE. Fuck fuck fuck.New heroes emerging... Exciting.

SQ

HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN, SIMAN!

Friday
was suprise birthday (cake) party. Kelly, you haven't told me about the super fail plan! And the reason why I missed out the fail plan is because of Yuhua Peer Tutoring thing and the a*** teachers in charge. NAG NAG NAG NAG. Yeah, a bunch of people were present. Cake was delicious thank you Rachel! Rena and Sarah LSE lives of the party, managed to get everyone squealing and running around. Cake and water fight ensued. It was hella fun. (: Hope we make you happy, Siman!

Saturday
was flag day. I enjoy doing CIP very much. I did something different with my hair and Yuxuan and Xiaotong was super shocked, didn't recognise me. Nah, I won't chop off my hair. Yingxuan got us all salivating over her pepper lunch.
So I teamed up with Siman to collect donations outside Bugis Junction.

MC Mongs/Blonde hair cutie/Shaggy rock star/Cigarette gangster
Heartless fuckers/Loving couples/Friendly daddies/Cute uncles
Loser ah lians and ah bengs/Fried chicken/Sundae/MRT rides
heavy tins :D

Basically that sums up the highlights of our day. I love flag days!

Sunday/Today
STUCK AT HOME DOING HW OH DANGGGG IDL IH SIA )))))):

Yummy little men.

Photobucket

Yesterday we had a talk about Graces. Not exactly though but we were learning about stuff that guys don't like about girls. (Like VPL, too much makeup, messy hair... etc etc) But I'm dreading the so-called formal dinner. I don't like formal, I hate dresses, I hate heels. Urgh. They should just send us off for some bikini bootcamp or whatever. And Michelle wasn't in school because she's happily collecting angbao in Malaysia, lucky lucky lucky.

Our own CNY picnic: Michelle, Rachel, Kelly, Siman, Jingfang, Minhui, Sarah and Liyi with her sexy voice. We were exchanging CNY goodies. We had our little picnic by the fish pond. Oh my god, my heart ached. I miss our old classroom SOOOOOO much! Don't need to climb stairs and we could eat outside the classroom because it is considered ground level. Why the fuck do we have to change? ):

With love,
SQ

Proud as a chinese

Happy chinese new year (eve) to all of you loved by me! To those that I hate, please have a shiteous year of the ox, tyvm.

Thursday
There was health checkup so we didn't have to do zuowen! Damn happy so we were all fooling around, having the time of our lives:

I had to put this up because jingf looks so happy.
Friday
Huichun was suprisingly fun and we quickly get it over and done with and went to play. I seriously am in love with 411'09! After the horribly cliched CNY celebration, I went back to Rulang. Pathetic, it was only me and Yulin. Absence make the heart grow fonder. I miss miss miss Yulin so much my heart ached. BFFs! Oh and pls pls come to HCJC, then we can be together! Chatted for hours, non stop. I ate a lot and felt incredibly guilty because Yulin ate like 1/4 of what I ate.

Saturday
I attempted to finish holiday homework, halfway through feeling really fucked up in the ass. Come on, it's HOLIDAYS! However, I enjoyed doing ISL.1 though. Then went to get CNY supplies (pineapple tarts and love letters!) and ate dinner outside. O: *YAWN*

Sunday/Today
Semi reunion lunch @ my granny's house. She's the only woman alive capable of making veggies taste awesome, I swear. Semi because only my family turned up which is quite sad. And judging by the angbao money I am receive, the economic downturn really fucked asses. Please please, I need money! Hopefully better luck tmrw when I put on my hypocritical smiley face and start saying happy chinese new year to relatives in a sickeningly sweet voice. Urgh.

Oh and I shall resist new year goodies. But I'm eating steamboat later, yummy!

Monday blues

Photobucket
First of all, happy birthday to you, You Jia! I know what are kind of drifting apart now but still, have a really sweet sixteen!!! Xoxo And also TONGMENG, happy legal birthday! I love you tonnes. Thanks for always listening to my rantings and bitching. Muackssss gossip partner!!!

Today was rather boring. (All Mondays are anyway.) So the regular mundane stuff we have to start getting used to. The don't talk about it remainder/factor theorem quiz and the I don't give a damn chinese letter we had to write about education shit. Then it was PE. It's seriously darn fun like I don't mind playing tennis for an entire day.

Siman came over after school to do homework. She's pretty darn proud of her history assignment. I was helping her do the vintage effect thing to her newspaper report about pissed Germans, burning the paper (almost burning the house down) and dabbing coffee. I told her to take my help as a way of thanking Shirlene Tieh for helping me pass history. She better love vintage and give Siman A1 for the assignment. (My dad wasn't happy about us using up 2 boxes of match!)

Hugs and kisses,
SQ

When the rain starts to pour

Photobucket

Class party was first. There was food, beverages and music, fun and games but it could have been a crazier party, bigger and better too. We should really stop playing games like Whacko or murderer. Those are so... primary school.

After that, we went to the hall for celebration. We went too late and ended up sitting at the back, which sucks as it was so freaking stuffy. To make matters worse, there was this gigantic pillar in front, blocking our view of the stage. Way to go.

During the celebration, we were cheering and screaming like a bunch of crazies, mostly for Mr E. Tan. The sad thing was, Mr Tan didn't win a single award, which is really really disappointing because I was totally rooting for him. Our teachers made this whole celebration really really crazy. I have no idea! I got the impression from somewhere that all teachers were geeks. Celebrations ended and like always with everyone pushing and squeezing out of the hall, sticky and a little haggard.

After dismissal, I went back to Rulang to meet up with my 6R lovelies.

Photobucket

I saw lifesized people hanging around in my primary school.

The nine of us (Dan, Linwen, Steph, Yimeng, Yulin, LC and Yingx) went off to JEC for lunch. My long awaited pizza hut meal! Yeah, there was a really long queue and some of them got impatient and went off to the food court for their feast. It was definitely worth the wait although only Dan, Linwen and I ate together.

Photobucket

Yes, we were having laughing fits and telling silly jokes. Although we haven't seen each other for more than 6 months, I don't feel the least bit uncomfortable talking to them. That's the magic of true friendship.
HAHA, and I prankcalled ERIC TAN!

No, not the Cambodia one. Yulin's form teacher is also called Eric Tan!!! O: And apparently, many Nanhua girls are in looooooove with him. And then Linwen suggested board games so we played monopoly!
Photobucket

I was having the time of my life. Everything was just simply heavenly, feels like the period of time after PSLE. We didn't have a care in the world, we didn't bother about stupid bitches or disgusting jerks. We were just like kids. Having fun together, enjoying and appreciating each other's company.

Photobucket

So I shall say again,
THANKS YOU GUYS FOR MAKING MY DAY! LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH!

080208: Chinese roots

Photobucket
[source]

New Year's Eve this year was basically:

珲春
Otherwise known as writing words you don't understand using brushes and then tossing it away.
Celebration in school (Boring)
The so called concert was uninteresting and cliche. Dances, songs, instruments, exchanged mandarin oranges. It was just doing what we had to so for the sake of doing it though I can't really help being stuck in restricted and uncreative Singapore.

Meetup (Finally!)

My girls decided to go hang out at Shan Jee's house. I had to rush home for the ridiculous reunion lunch before jackrabbiting over. It turned out I didn't really need to stuff my bowl of rice down my throat. Pizza and drumsticks were fingerlicking good. After we were done, we went down to the bowling alley to play. Long nails were never a good idea when it comes to bowling. I broke two but nonetheless, bowling is amazing fun.

Tthe remaining time were spent reminiscing about old times on the comfy couches. One word to describe that perfect afternoon: LOVE. I haven't had that much fun in such a long while. Nice.
